Actor Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd played coy when asked if Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2019s song \u201cWildest Dreams\u201d is about him.<\/p>\n

While Skarsg\u00e5rd appeared on Monday\u2019s episode of \u201cArmchair Expert,\u201d host Dax Shepard explained that he has a recurring joke with his daughter that \u201cWildest Dreams\u201d is about him before bringing up that many believe the song is actually about Skarsg\u00e5rd.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you have the same fear to either acknowledge or deny that that could be true because the power of the Swifties is so strong, you just don\u2019t even want to talk about it?\u201d Shepard asked.<\/p>\n

Skarsg\u00e5rd replied with a simple, \u201cYeah.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s about Brad Pitt,\u201d Skarsg\u00e5rd quipped. \u201cLet\u2019s be honest.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to be honest,\u201d he added. \u201cI wrote the lyrics to that song myself and sent it to Taylor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swifties have long theorized \u201cWildest Dreams\u201d is about Skarsg\u00e5rd. Swift and Skarsg\u00e5rd were seen together in South Africa in 2013<\/a> while filming \u201cThe Giver,\u201d where Swift sported brunette hair. \u201cWildest Dreams\u201d was released on Swift\u2019s \u201c1989\u201d album in 2014, and a year after that, she followed it up with its music video. In the video<\/a>, Swift played a brunette actor having a love affair with her co-star on a film set in Africa. <\/p>\n

While Swift never really flat-out says who each of her songs are about, she isn\u2019t exactly subtle about it, either. Swift implied to Rolling Stone in 2014<\/a> that her songs \u201cI Wish You Would\u201d and \u201cAll You Had To Do Was Stay\u201d were about Harry Styles and when asked about the song \u201cStyle,\u201d she reportedly grinned and said, \u201cWe should have just called it \u2018I\u2019m Not Even Sorry.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u2019s also been known to leave Easter eggs in songs and music videos for fans to try and decode who each song is about.
