{"id":868012,"date":"2026-06-15T02:59:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T02:59:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/868012\/"},"modified":"2026-06-15T02:59:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T02:59:14","slug":"dps-man-charged-with-aggravated-kidnapping-after-pursuit-from-san-antonio-ends-in-live-oak-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/868012\/","title":{"rendered":"DPS: Man charged with aggravated kidnapping after pursuit from San Antonio ends in Live Oak County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\"><strong>SAN ANTONIO<\/strong> \u2013 A San Antonio man faces multiple charges, including aggravated kidnapping, after a vehicle pursuit that began in San Antonio and ended in Live Oak County on Sunday afternoon, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">DPS troopers assisted with the pursuit, which started in San Antonio and continued south on Interstate 37 through Atascosa County before moving into Live Oak County.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The pursuit ended on U.S. Highway 281 when a DPS trooper used a tactical vehicle intervention to bring the suspect vehicle to a stop, according to DPS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Christopher Lopez, 29, of San Antonio, was taken into custody and booked into the Live Oak County Jail. He faces charges of aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon, evading arrest or detention, and obstruction or retaliation, according to DPS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">A female passenger in the vehicle was not injured. She was transported to a hospital as a precaution, DPS said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The investigation is ongoing.
