{"id":868856,"date":"2026-06-15T12:29:18","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T12:29:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/868856\/"},"modified":"2026-06-15T12:29:18","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T12:29:18","slug":"several-rescued-ragdoll-cats-are-ready-for-adoption-nbc10-philadelphia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/868856\/","title":{"rendered":"Several rescued Ragdoll cats are ready for adoption \u2013 NBC10 Philadelphia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After spending time in recovery, several Ragdoll cats <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/cats-kittens-rescued-deplorable-conditions-lancaster-county-pennsylvania\/4415236\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">rescued from a residence in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania,<\/a> are ready to be adopted.<\/p>\n<p>Pennsylvania SPCA shared a week ago that nearly 80 cats and kittens were taken into their custody after they were found living in deplorable conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the investigation began when the Lancaster Township Police contacted the PSPCA after responding to a residence on the 300 block of Spencer Avenue for an unrelated call.<\/p>\n<p>Police had found that the home was unsanitary, with feces and urine throughout, debris and trash stacked from floor to ceiling, and a large number of cats free-roaming inside.<\/p>\n<p>Based on these observations, officials said the Pennsylvania SPCA\u2019s Animal Law Enforcement team secured a search warrant pertaining to the &#8220;ill-treatment of animals and failure to provide access to clean and sanitary shelter.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the rescue was challenging for the team due to the dangerously high ammonia levels from waste and extreme heat inside the property.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe conditions inside this home were among the most severe our team has encountered,\u201d said Nicole Wilson, Director of Animal Law Enforcement and Shelter Operations at the Pennsylvania SPCA. <\/p>\n<p>After the rescue, all the animals underwent forensic examinations and received necessary medical care. <\/p>\n<p>PSPCA shared that many adult cats will now be available for adoption starting Monday at their Philadelphia headquarters.
