Joey Lawrence<\/a><\/strong> and his wife, Samantha Cope<\/strong><\/a>, put some serious effort into reconciling their relationship after their split, and the former Blossom star has broken his silence on the situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it’s too easy. As much as you don\u2019t want to take an easy way out, or you think this will be the fix \u2014 it\u2019s not always the case,\u201d Lawrence told E! News<\/a> on July 23, referencing the couple\u2019s temporary split in 2024. \u201cI just didn\u2019t want to do that, and she didn\u2019t either. It\u2019s like, \u2018Wait a minute. There\u2019s something so special here.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cThings take a lot of work and a lot of dedication and reworking and retooling. That’s life, though. As brothers, with your parents, with friends, in business, that’s it. Everything takes so much work. Whatever it is, just don’t give up, because you never know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lawrence was previously married to Michelle Vella<\/strong> from 2002 to 2005. After their split, he moved on with Chandie Yawn-Nelson<\/strong>, whom he married in 2005. The couple welcomed two daughters, Charleston and Liberty Grace, before he filed for divorce in 2020. The following year Lawrence and Cope met while filming Lifetime\u2019s My Husband\u2019s Secret Brother, and in August 2021, he popped the question. The couple officially tied the knot in May 2022.<\/p>\n

In January 2023, Lawrence and Cope announced the birth of their daughter Dylan Rose.<\/p>\n

However, Cope filed for divorce in August 2024, but it didn\u2019t take her and Lawrence long to find their way back to one another. They had reconciled by December of that same year.<\/p>\n
