A teenager was in the process of manufacturing a handgun with a 3D printer when authorities raided his East Germantown<\/a> apartment last week, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Kiseem Pressley, 18, advertised his firearms on social media, which drew the attention of investigators, representatives from the Pennsylvania Attorney General\u2019s Office said Monday.<\/p>\n

Agents showed up with a search warrant Thursday, June 11, and found nine firearm lower receivers, three 3D printers, a fully assembled weapon and other items associated with the building of guns in Pressley’s home on the 6300 block of Chew Avenue, according to the AG\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis felon was actively making and distributing firearms in the community \u2013 brazenly posting on social media that he was open for that kind of business,\u201d AG Dave Sunday said in a statement. \u201cEvery print-at-home firearm that is transferred on the street presents a direct threat to public safety, as the guns are not traceable and could potentially be used in acts of violence or other crimes.\u201d<\/p>\n

An investigation is ongoing into whether any of the guns Pressley allegedly assembled have been connected to other crimes, law enforcement officials said.<\/p>\n

Pressley has been charged with four counts related to illegal firearm possession. Court records show he was being tracked by a GPS monitor at the time of his arrest, and the AG\u2019s office described him as a convicted felon, meaning he is unable to own any guns.<\/p>\n

Bail was set at $500,000, of which Pressley must post 10% to be released. The public defender\u2019s association, which is representing him, declined to comment on the charges.<\/p>\n
