Jonathan Alcorn for CA Post<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">City officials will also examine whether changes to the City Charter, the city\u2019s governing document, may be needed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The review goes beyond redistricting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Council members are also looking to see if voter ID requirements, proof-of-citizenship requirements, voter fraud prosecutions and whether election integrity measures affect voter turnout and access to the ballot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The request comes as the City Council is expected to consider a separate proposal that could eventually allow noncitizens to vote in Los Angeles city elections through a future Charter amendment.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Los Angeles City Council voted Tuesday to seek reports on how the Supreme Court\u2019s Louisiana v.
