href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/houston\/pearland-friendswood-manvel\/government\/2026\/05\/07\/manvel-approves-comprehensive-major-thoroughfare-plans\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">development<\/a> drives population growth in Manvel, <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/houston\/pearland-friendswood-manvel\/government\/2026\/05\/27\/target-md-anderson-plans-included-in-proposed-manvel-mixed-use-development\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">health care providers<\/a> are increasing their presence in the city with new facilities aimed at meeting residents\u2019 medical needs.<\/p>\n<p>With two urgent care facilities, two primary care clinics and a 24\/7 emergency room under construction, residents have greater access to local health care options, Mayor Dan Davis said.<\/p>\n<p>Major ongoing <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/houston\/pearland-friendswood-manvel\/development\/2026\/05\/08\/manvels-master-planned-communities-continue-to-drive-residential-growth\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">residential developments<\/a>, including Meridiana, Pomona and Valencia, are expected to bring 6,500-7,000 homes to Manvel at full buildout, development documents note.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving quality care nearby can make a real difference for families when they need help quickly,\u201d Davis said. \u201cThat matters not only for convenience, but especially in emergency situations, every minute matters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>What residents should know<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/houston\/pearland-friendswood-manvel\/government\/2026\/05\/05\/manvel-reports-increased-revenue-spending-in-fy-2025-26-budget-update\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The city\u2019s<\/a> emergency care options initially expanded in 2024 with the openings of Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care and Next Level Urgent Care.<\/p>\n<p>Primary care services also expanded in April when Memorial Hermann Medical Group opened a clinic in the Manvel Town Center, joining Infinity Family Clinic as local options for residents.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the Manvel Emergency Center is currently under construction and is projected to open in early 2027, providing 24\/7 emergency care.<\/p>\n<p>As development continues across the city, Davis said dependable health care services remain essential to supporting residents and improving quality of life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the end of the day, it\u2019s about making sure
