Authorities said the shooting happened just before 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the 1500 block of Mardell Street. <\/p>\n
According to police, the man met up with another person for a transaction made on the online marketplace OfferUp. Officers said the man and the other person began shooting at each other. <\/p>\n
The 28-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his back, SAPD said. It is unclear what led up to the shooting. <\/p>\n
The victim, who was accompanied by a female companion, was then driven from the shooting. <\/p>\n
Police said the 28-year-old was pronounced dead in the 1700 block of Babcock Drive. <\/p>\n
An SAPD officer on scene said it does not yet have any information on a suspected shooter. <\/p>\n
