The media mogul revealed that he once fired his aunt from a job because she didn\u2019t take it seriously.<\/p>\n
Perry shared his tough love approach to mixing finances and family during a candid conversation on YouTube series \u201cDen of Kings\u201d<\/a> with host Kirk Franklin and fellow guests Derrick Hayes and Jay \u201cJeezy\u201d Jenkins.<\/p>\n \u201cShe said she wanted a job. She would always call asking for money, I would send her the money,\u201d Perry said. \u201cI said, \u2018Listen, I want to help you. I want to help you build this thing, not be welfare to you. So, let me give you a job.’\u201d<\/p>\n Tyler Perry revealed he once fired his aunt after giving her a job because she wasn\u2019t showing up for work.<\/p>\n Perry recalled telling his aunt she\u2019s \u201cgotta go,\u201d explaining, \u201cYou want me to hand you the money, but you don\u2019t want to work for it. See, that doesn\u2019t work for me.\u201d<\/p>\n But Perry said she wasn\u2019t coming into work and was constantly calling off.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Well, you gotta go,’\u201d he recalled telling her. \u201cBecause you want me to hand you the money, but you don\u2019t want to work for it.
