SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) \u2014 The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is supporting higher education with $765,000 in scholarship and educational grants.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the Rodeo presented $590,000 in scholarships to 50 students and $175,910 in grants to local educational organizations.<\/p>\n

Scholarship recipients represent students pursuing higher education through institutions and programs including the Alamo Colleges District, Prairie View A&M University, Bexar County 4-H and FFA and more.<\/p>\n

Students were selected through educational partners and programs on their demonstrated leadership, community involvement, service, and commitment to academic excellence.<\/p>\n

Grant recipients include educational and community organizations such as Bexar County Youth Gardens, St. Philip\u2019s College Culinary Arts Program, the Norman Borlaug Program through Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Gardopia Gardens, and Palo Alto College.<\/p>\n
