She was home without a midwife or nurse when she started experiencing postpartum hemorrhaging.<\/p>\n<p>The online content creator was adamant about giving birth without medical help, the coroner\u2019s court learned \u2014 a request her husband, Nathan Wernecke, abided by. Once she started suffering complications, Wernecke finally relented and rushed her to the hospital, but two dozen doctors were unable to save her following the problematic pregnancy. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Her son, the couple\u2019s first child, survived the deadly ordeal. <\/p>\n<p>When Wernecke announced Hatfield\u2019s death over Instagram in September, he cited an \u201cunforeseen and incredibly rare complication\u201d for her passing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStace passed on the 29th September 2025 after successfully giving birth to our firstborn son, Axel, at home,\u201d Wernecke wrote on Hatfield\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DP-dHVLEmiw\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=A3RlE1GhebR-bZDH6BKG3N3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTragically, shortly after, an unforeseen and extremely rare complication arose and she passed after being transferred to hospital,\u201d the post continued.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.75585938;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39700280\" width=\"446\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/stacey-hatfield-4.jpg\" alt=\"A pregnant woman and a man standing outside, the woman's pregnant belly is visible.\" class=\"wp-image-39700280\"  \/>Stacey Hatfield and her husband, Nathan Wernecke.
