There will be free rides on the Yellow Rose Express Train and Country Carousel, open habitats on view in Texas Wild! and the possibility of a meet-and-greet with the zoo\u2019s outreach animals.<\/p>\n<p>A Father\u2019s Day coyote adoption package is available for purchase, too. While live coyotes aren\u2019t included, the adoption carrier comes with a coyote plushie and personalized adoption certificate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When:<\/strong> 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 20<br \/><strong>Where: <\/strong>Bluebonnet Cafe, 1989 Colonial Parkway, Fort Worth<br \/><strong>Admission:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/tickets.fortworthzoo.org\/webstore\/shop\/viewItems.aspx?cg=fd&amp;c=cookout\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tickets<\/a> for adults 13 and older are $95; $40 for children 3 to 12; and free for children 2 and younger. Zoo members receive a 10% discount. The Father\u2019s Day Cookout doesn\u2019t include daytime Zoo admission. The <a href=\"https:\/\/tickets.fortworthzoo.org\/webstore\/shop\/viewItems.aspx?cg=fd&amp;c=fdadoptions\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">coyote adoption<\/a> costs an additional $60.<\/p>\n<p>Paint with Dad<\/p>\n<p>Create a colorfully layered and textured painting alongside Dad on the same canvas or on separate canvases at Hawaii Fluid Art. For Father\u2019s Day, the studio is offering a free kid\u2019s canvas with the purchase of an adult canvas.<\/p>\n<p>Each class runs for about two hours and includes all the materials needed to paint a fluid piece.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>When:<\/strong> 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. June 20 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. June 21. Book online to reserve a spot. Reservations begin at 11 a.m. and are available every two hours.<br \/><strong>Where:<\/strong> 6333 Camp Bowie Blvd., Fort Worth<br \/><strong>Admission:<\/strong> $65 for <a href=\"https:\/\/hawaiifluidart.com\/fort-worth-tx\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">an adult<\/a> 10 x 20-inch canvas plus a kid\u2019s 12 x 12; $75 for a shared 16 x 20; $95 for a shared 18 x 24.<\/p>\n<p>Grilling with Dad<\/p>\n<p>Dad can learn or polish grilling techniques alongside his kids at the Central Market Cooking School. The class led by cooking school instructors teaches how to grill steak kebabs, cheese-and-vegetable skewers, herb potatoes and peaches.<\/p>\n<p>After preparing dinner and dessert, children can enjoy the meal they cooked with their father. Anyone 21 and older can enjoy a glass of wine paired with their meal.<\/p>\n<p>The event allows up to two children per dad. Children must be at least 7 years of age and accompanied by an adult.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When:<\/strong> 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. June 21<br \/><strong>Where:<\/strong> 4652 West Freeway, Fort Worth<br \/><strong>Admission:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/fathers-day-grilling-with-dad-tickets-1987538406878?aff=ebdssbdestsearch#location\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tickets<\/a> are $99.88 for Dad and up to two children.<\/p>\n<p>Father\u2019s Day Build Competition<\/p>\n<p>Put Dad\u2019s technical skills to the test and participate in a Lego build challenge at Books-A-Million Grapevine. Each father-and-child team will receive the same Lego set and can only build using those pieces. The competition\u2019s theme is to build a family fun creation. <\/p>\n<p>All entries must be submitted by 6 p.m. June 21 and will be judged after the competition ends. The top three winners will receive BAM Grapevine store credit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When: <\/strong>10 a.m.-6 p.m. June 20-21<br \/><strong>Where:<\/strong> 2101 Harwood Road, Bedford<br \/><strong>Admission:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/fathers-day-build-competition-tickets-1991005157021?aff=ebdssbdestsearch\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">General admission<\/a> is $23.18 per person.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Father\u2019s Day Cruise\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sail across Grapevine Lake and let Dad celebrate his day with a BBQ buffet. Two time slots are available for reservation. From 1-3 p.m. kids are allowed onboard, and from 4-6 p.m. it\u2019s an adults-only cruise. A DJ will play music all day, and a face painter will tag along for the kids ride while the adults cruise will feature a comedy performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>When:<\/strong> 1-3 p.m. for kids-allowed cruise and 4-6 p.m. for adults-only cruise<br \/><strong>Where:<\/strong> Silver Lake Marina, 2500 Fairway Drive #1, Grapevine<br \/><strong>Admission:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/fathers-day-cruise-tickets-1985190947564?aff=ebdssbdestsearch#location\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Adult tickets <\/a>are $71.21 and kids tickets for 18 and younger are $55.20.<\/p>\n<p>Father\u2019s Day Matinee \u2014 A Sinatra Celebration<\/p>\n<p>Listen to music and enjoy an evening with Dad at Scat Jazz Lounge. To celebrate and honor fathers on their special day, the lounge is hosting an exclusive matinee at 4 p.m. when Ricki Derek and his band perform Frank Sinatra ballads.
