As the college football offseason rages on, Crain & Cone just keeps on pumping out content. This week, they took turns drafting the best college football program possible.<\/p>\n
In doing so, each draftee needed to select an AD, HC, OC, DC, QB, RB, WR, OL, defense, and stadium. Jake Crain<\/strong> had the first pick, followed by David Cone<\/strong> and Blain Crain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Jake kicked things off with a bang, selecting back-to-back Big Ten receiver Jeremiah Smith<\/a><\/strong> with the first overall selection. Cone went second, selecting Ole Miss<\/a><\/strong> quarterback Trinidad Chambliss<\/a><\/strong>. Finally, Blain finished the First Round by landing on Miami<\/a><\/strong> quarterback Darian Mensah<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n The full teams are below, with full analysis. <\/p>\n Jake Crain\u2019s program:<\/p>\n Athletic Director: Greg Byrne<\/strong><\/a>, Alabama<\/a><\/strong> Jake Crain<\/strong> comes on strong with his program, led by two of the projected top offensive players in the 2027 NFL Draft. He pairs Texas<\/strong> quarterback Arch Manning<\/strong> with Ohio State<\/strong> wide receiver Jeremiah Smith<\/strong>, and has Miami<\/strong>\u2018s Mark Fletcher Jr.<\/strong> in the backfield. Talk about a stacked offense. Crain\u2019s program also boasts Indiana<\/strong>\u2018s championship winning O-line (led by projected 2027 top-10 pick OT Carter Smith<\/a><\/strong>) and Georgia<\/strong>\u2018s dominant defense. It will sure be hard to pick against this program.<\/p>\n David Cone\u2019s program:<\/p>\n Athletic Director: Kyle George<\/a><\/strong>, Troy<\/a><\/strong> David Cone<\/strong>\u2018s program unites Ole Miss<\/strong> quarterback Trinidad Chambliss<\/strong> and running back Kewan Lacy<\/strong>, along with adding Texas<\/strong> superstar wide receiver Cam Coleman<\/strong>. Cone\u2019s program would be led by National Championship winning head coach Curt Cignetti<\/strong>, and would play its home games in arguably the greatest home atmosphere in all of college football (Tiger Stadium). With this talent in Cignetti\u2019s hands, it would sure be hard to knock off this team.<\/p>\n Blain Crain\u2019s program:<\/p>\n Athletic Director: Josh Brooks<\/a><\/strong>, Georgia<\/a><\/strong> Finally, Blain Crain<\/strong> rounds out the Draft with his program. Just as David did, Blain unites Miami<\/strong> teammates quarterback Darian Mensah<\/strong> and wide receiver Malachi Toney<\/strong>. If Missouri<\/strong> running back Ahmad Hardy<\/strong> is fully healthy in this hypothetical, what a lethal trio this would be in an offense.
