(CNN) &#8211; A Texas police officer saved a missing boy from a near-drowning after finding the child partially submerged.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The department said the missing child report came in around 12:05 p.m. on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Officers searched the area, and one of them noticed something yellow sticking up from the weeds near the water. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">When the officer moved closer, they found the child partially submerged along the shoreline. Officials say the child was disoriented and in immediate danger near the Trinity River. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">One officer entered the water and brought the child safely to shore. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Fort Worth Fire Department evaluated the boy as a precaution and determined the child was safe. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In a social media post, the Fort Worth Police Department said \u201c&#8230;sometimes the difference between tragedy and relief is measured in seconds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 CNN Newsource.
