A White House spokesperson warned \u201cThe View\u201d co-host Joy Behar that her show could be next on the chopping block<\/a> after her latest tirade against President Donald Trump on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

During the show, Behar and her fellow hosts responded to Trump\u2019s call for former President Barack Obama to be criminally investigated for allegedly manufacturing intelligence that prompted the Trump\u2013Russia collusion narrative.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, who tried to overthrow the government on Jan. 6?\u201d Behar said. \u201cWho was that again? That was not Obama. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe thing about him is he\u2019s so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not: Trim, smart, handsome, happily married, and can sing Al Green\u2019s song \u2018Let\u2019s Stay Together\u2019 better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It\u2019s driving him crazy. Green is not a good color.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement to Fox News Digital, White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers called out the show\u2019s ratings and suggested it could be \u201cpulled off-air\u201d if Behar didn\u2019t stop attacking Trump.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It\u2019s no surprise that \u2018The View\u2019s\u2019 ratings hit an all-time low<\/a> last year. She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump\u2019s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off-air,\u201d Rogers said.<\/p>\n

Behar was responding to Trump\u2019s call for Barack Obama to be criminally investigated over the Trump-Russia collusion narrative. ABC<\/p>\n

In a response provided to Entertainment Weekly, a spokesperson for \u201cThe View\u201d defended the show by claiming it \u201cis up in total viewers and women 18-49, versus the comparable weeks last season, to its most-watched in four years\u201d and that \u201cseason to date, \u2018The View\u2019 is ranking No. 1 in households and total viewers among all network daytime talk shows and news programs for the fifth straight season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fox News Digital reached out to \u201cThe View\u201d for additional comment.<\/p>\n

The statement came nearly a week after CBS announced \u201cThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert\u201d would be canceled next May at the end of its broadcast season. <\/p>\n

The White House spokesperson said that Behar \u201cshould self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump\u2019s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off-air.\u201d ABC<\/p>\n

Though CBS and parent company Paramount said that the choice to cancel the series was \u201cpurely a financial decision,\u201d and the show was reportedly losing the network $40 million a year, many liberal commentators have claimed it was for political reasons because of Colbert\u2019s anti-Trump stance.<\/p>\n
