HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — No injuries were reported after a house caught fire in a west Houston neighborhood on Wednesday evening, the Houston Fire Department said.<\/p>\n

Skyeye was overhead around 6:30 p.m. as smoke and flames engulfed a home at 6010 Fairdale Lane, near Richmond Avenue and Fountain View Drive.<\/p>\n

Firefighters could be seen surrounding the home, working to put out the fire.<\/p>\n

Fifteen mph gusts of wind blew thick smoke north onto neighboring townhomes just behind the burning home.<\/p>\n

In an update just before 7 p.m., HFD Captain Sedrick Robinett announced that the fire was contained, and firefighters were working to extinguish it.<\/p>\n
