I remember talking to Steve Jones of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/sex-pistols\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/sex-pistols\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sex Pistols<\/a>. He said, \u2018I didn\u2019t like the Beat\u00adles.\u2019 I said, \u2018There is something fucking wrong with you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t1. \u201cShe Loves You\u201d (1963)\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThis is the one that sucked me in. I was a 14-year-old kid with this blue transistor radio. I heard \u201cShe Loves You,\u201d and it floored me. It was as if you knew all the colors in the world. Then someone shows you a brand-new color, and you go, \u201cFuckin\u2019 hell, man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t2. \u201cI Want to Hold Your Hand\u201d (1963)\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t3. \u201cI Am the Walrus\u201d (1967)\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/john-lennon\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/john-lennon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lennon<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/paul-mccartney\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/paul-mccartney\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McCartney<\/a> were like sweet and sour. Paul would be the guy who said, \u201cIt\u2019s getting better all the time.\u201d John would say, \u201cIt couldn\u2019t get much worse.\u201d I loved Lennon\u2019s plays on words. I love any song where you can go, \u201cI don\u2019t know what that means,\u201d but you understand it anyway.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t4. \u201cA Day in My Life\u201d (1967)\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t5. \u201cHey Jude\u201d (1968)\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t6. \u201cHelp!\u201d (1965)\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tWhen I hear this, I hear Lennon thinking, \u201cYou can\u2019t get bigger than big.\u201d But they did. They got beyond massive. And he just goes, \u201cHelp!\u201d because they don\u2019t know what they\u2019ve done. They only know how they did it.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t7. \u201cEleanor Rigby\u201d (1966)\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cEleanor Rigby\u201d is fuck\u00ading phenomenal. I don\u2019t know why. I just know that every time I heard something from the Beatles, it made me feel better that day.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t8. \u201cSomething (1969)\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tBlack Sabbath were doing a residen\u00adcy in a bar in Zurich. It was winter, and we were driving in the van to get home for Christ\u00admas. We were homesick and had no money, one cigarette between the four of us. This song reminds me of that time, because we kept hearing it as we were going over the Alps.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<p>\t\t9. \u201cStrawberry Fields Forever\u201d (1967)\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tI used to work in a slaughter\u00adhouse, and across the road was a meat-pie shop, and this was on the radio there all the time.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t10. \u201cThe Long and Winding Road\u201d (1970)\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIt reminds me of winter in England. It\u2019s cold, you\u2019ve got fingerless gloves on. And it makes me sad, because it was the end of the greatest movie I\u2019d ever seen. You hear Paul going, \u201cI\u2019m out of steam.
