In less than 12 hours, Arthur went from Potential Tropical Cyclone One, reached tropical storm status over the Gulf at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, moved inland over the Gulf shores of Texas by Wednesday evening and weakened to a post-tropical low pressure area Wednesday night. Arthur’s remnant rain will continue spreading over the Southeast on Thursday, bringing the risk of life-threatening flooding to the Gulf and parts of the Southeast.
