The creature can only be seen for a second or two at the bottom of the screen before it’s out of view.

“I was like, ‘I’m going crazy. I’m literally going crazy; I’m losing my mind,’” Ortiz said of the moment she first saw the clip.

The Compton woman said she was stunned when she checked footage from her camera, which recorded the video around 1 a.m. on June 5.

“I unlocked my phone, and I guess the notification had just got in, so I opened the video as soon as I unlocked the phone … as soon as the video starts, I caught it when it opened,” she said.

In utter disbelief, Ortiz said she asked her son to review the video and asked him if he noticed anything odd. He, too, noticed the figure, leaving his mother feeling vindicated.

“He sat up on his bed and he played it like three times,” Ortiz said. “When he was done on the third one, he was like, ‘Mom, it’s an alien. Call the police.’ I was like, I’m not calling the police on an alien. I’d sound crazy.”

Ortiz said her home has a total of three cameras; neither of the other two security cameras captured the being. After first seeing the footage, she said she called her back neighbor to ask if anyone in the household was outside. To Ortiz’s unsettlement, no one was.

“We were freaking out because we couldn’t explain what it was, and I wasn’t going to go outside and check,” she said.

At the end of the video, loud noises can be heard coming from outside. It’s unclear what caused those noises. Ortiz said her aunt, who lives next door, told her the following afternoon that she heard loud bangs around the time the video was captured.

“(She said) those sounds came from the roof,” Ortiz said of her aunt’s account. “She’s like, ‘I even stopped and I looked to the ceiling. I kind of stared to see what else was going to happen.’ She said she heard like scratching, like crawling noises after the second bang, and then she heard one last bang, a loud third bang. And she ran to her room and started praying. She was so afraid.”

The video sent viewers into a frenzy in Ortiz’s comments, with skeptics saying the figure is a child, a person wearing a mariachi hat, someone with a blanket covering themselves and other suggestions. However, she assures the video is not edited or staged in any way.

Despite what others online believe, Ortiz said she thinks the creature is extraterrestrial.

“I think God is too creative for us to be the only ones with life,” she said.

A Compton resident’s quest for clarity on what she captured on her doorbell camera widely circulated on social…

[5123
1582,276,6081,2961,224,5337
0":"post-87765","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-los-angeles","8":"tag-ca","9":"tag-california","10":"tag-compton","11":"tag-la","12":"tag-los-angeles","13":"tag-losangeles
["GET
