The River Walk is a pedestrian street that runs alongside the San Antonio River. It defines one of the city\u2019s oldest neighborhoods, called Villa de Bejar. The outpost was first established in the early 1700s before eventually becoming a World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n

But you might know the River Walk as a scenic, walkable area that\u2019s home to some of San Antonio\u2019s top hotels, restaurants, shops, and bars. It\u2019s where you can find all five Spanish Colonial missions, sites like the Petty House and Arneson River Theatre, and even long-established haunts like the Pearl.<\/p>\n

The River Walk is broken down into two areas, called \u2018reaches\u2019. You\u2019ve got the busier museum reach to the north, then the mission reach to the south. You can find a solid breakdown online<\/a> from San Antonio City.<\/p>\n

If you prefer to stay at hotels, I recommend booking a room right on the River Walk. If you\u2019re more of a private rental person, choose from the Airbnbs and Vrbos listed below. They\u2019ll put you close enough that you can stroll to the River Walk.<\/p>\n

Looking for a full home to rent? This one-bedroom home is located in the Mission Reach of the River Walk, a stone\u2019s throw from downtown. In just three blocks, you\u2019re at the River Walk. There\u2019s also a porch where you can unwind with a drink after a long day, along with a private garage for free parking.<\/p>\n
