\u201cElf\u201d actor Faizon Love\u00a0made\u00a0his first appearance in a Florida courtroom Friday\u00a0after being busted on an outstanding warrant<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Love, 58,\u00a0wearing a red prison jumpsuit and shackled at the wrists, was brought into the Hillsborough County courtroom in a wheelchair Friday for his initial appearance.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s\u00a0facing two contempt of court charges stemming from a child support case,\u00a0according to TMZ<\/a>, which reported his ex, Tiffany Lee, claims he\u2019s $250,000 in arrears.<\/p>\n

\u201cElf\u201d actor Faizon Love was seen in a wheelchair for his first appearance in a Florida courtroom Friday. WTSP<\/p>\n

Love is in court after being busted on an outstanding warrant. WTSP<\/p>\n

Lee\u2019s lawyer argued Love ignored\u00a0multiple\u00a0court orders and hasn\u2019t made\u00a0the\u00a0court-mandated $2,500 per month child support payments in years.<\/p>\n

The \u201cCouple\u2019s Retreat\u201d star has claimed he didn\u2019t earn a single cent in 2025 and that his highest gross income over the last five years was just $13,000, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n

Faizon\u2019s ex, Tiffany Lee, claims he\u2019s $250,000 in arrears, according to a report. WTSP<\/p>\n

His lawyers said the actor is having difficulty making ends meet \u2014 that he has no home, drives a 1999 car and has been forced to depend on friends to help cover his expenses.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you have the current ability at this point in time to pay $2,500 a month in child support?\u201d Love\u2019s lawyer asked him during the hearing.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now? No,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe sentence is preventing him from working and ruining his name in Hollywood,\u201d his attorney argued. \u201cSo, if he\u2019s in jail, he can\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Appearing on a video call during the proceedings, Lee claimed Love \u201cspecifically told me that I wasn\u2019t going to get a dime\u201d and said he was going to stop working and cancel shows to deprive her of the money.<\/p>\n

Love will be released from custody today, the judge giving him until July 1 to put a financial statement together to prove he can\u2019t afford the payments, according to 10\u00a0Tampa Bay News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The \u201cFriday\u201d actor was cuffed in Florida Tuesday, appearing haggard and stone-faced in a mugshot after his arrest.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was originally arrested in California over two weeks ago and served 16 days in jail, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n

Love has had several prior run-ins with law enforcement, including several arrests for assault.<\/p>\n

In 2017, he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor for a caught-on-camera assault of a valet at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport in Ohio, for which he was fined $500 and handed a 180-day suspended jail sentence.<\/p>\n

Last year he was accused of felony assault after allegedly hurling a credit card machine at the head of a San Diego hotel clerk after she told him the hotel couldn\u2019t provide him with the room he had booked.<\/p>\n
