{"id":880293,"date":"2026-06-20T10:24:28","date_gmt":"2026-06-20T10:24:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/880293\/"},"modified":"2026-06-20T10:24:28","modified_gmt":"2026-06-20T10:24:28","slug":"women-charged-after-4k-in-stolen-lululemon-clothing-recovered-on-chicagos-south-side","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/880293\/","title":{"rendered":"Women charged after $4K in stolen Lululemon clothing recovered on Chicago&#8217;s South Side"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\"><strong>CHICAGO<\/strong> &#8211; Two women are facing charges after about $4K worth of stolen Lululemon clothing was recovered from a vehicle on Chicago\u2019s South Side.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"WFLD\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-94395e58=\"\">What we know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">Employees at the Lululemon store in the West Loop on Randolph Street reported a theft on June 12, according to the Cook County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">Two women are said to have entered the store, took bright pink and white clothing, and left without paying.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">What the pair didn&#8217;t know, according to sheriff&#8217;s police, was the clothing had tracking devices attached, which allowed officers to follow the merchandise to the 9700 block of South Merrill Avenue on the city&#8217;s South Side.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">There, officers saw two women get out of a vehicle who matched descriptions provided by Lululemon employees.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/smith-johnson.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/> <\/p>\n<p data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\">Jamyah Smith and Gyliah Johnson <\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">Sheriff&#8217;s police took 22-year-old Jamyah Smith and 19-year-old Gyliah Johnson into custody, along with a male driver who was later released without charges. Officers recovered about $4,000 worth of stolen clothing from the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">Smith and Johnson were each charged with felony retail theft.
