{"id":880538,"date":"2026-06-20T13:00:31","date_gmt":"2026-06-20T13:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/880538\/"},"modified":"2026-06-20T13:00:31","modified_gmt":"2026-06-20T13:00:31","slug":"glendale-shows-off-multi-million-renovation-on-its-birthday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/880538\/","title":{"rendered":"Glendale shows off multi-million renovation on its birthday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Glendale turned 116 June 18 with\u00a0 a celebration that showcased the major project of its past three years, the $94 million almost total renovation of its City Hall.<\/p>\n<p>A month after the City Hall opened for business, the city held a ribbon cutting that started in the new City Council Chambers with several speeches, the unveiling of contets and footage from a time capsule buried in 1985 just outside the building and a look at the contets going into a time capsule buried Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>After nearly an hour inside, council members present and past &#8211; including George Renner, the mayor in 1985 &#8211;\u00a0 Miss Glendale and Arizona Rattlers cheerleadersad mascot went outside for the ribbon cutting.
