According to Dr Bhamri, excessive cardio exercise may also increase strain on the right side of the heart in certain individuals.<\/p>\n<p>Watch out for these warning signs<\/p>\n<p>While emphasising that exercise remains extremely beneficial for the general population, Dr Bhamri advised people to pay attention to symptoms that may indicate a problem. \u201cExercise for the common person is very good, very beneficial,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">He highlighted several red-flag signs that should never be ignored, including chest pain, palpitations and extreme <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lifestyle\/health\/cardiologist-shares-5-silent-heart-warning-signs-in-kids-parents-shouldn-t-ignore-from-breathlessness-to-poor-appetite-101771320330672.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"breathlessness\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">breathlessness<\/a> during exercise. \u201cIf you experience chest pain, palpitations or extreme breathlessness while exercising, stop immediately,\u201d he advised.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">Dr Bhamri also noted that the risk of sudden cardiac death during exercise is very rare, but may be slightly higher in people with an undiagnosed underlying heart condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">To help people gauge the right intensity, he shared a simple rule of thumb: \u201cModerate-intensity exercise means you can talk, but you cannot sing while exercising.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">His message serves as a reminder that while regular physical activity is one of the most effective ways to stay healthy, balance is key, and listening to your body\u2019s warning signs is just as important as staying active.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">Note to readers: This article is for informational purposes only and not a substitute for professional medical advice.
