Brewers<\/strong> manager Pat Murphy told MLB.com\u2019s Adam McCalvy<\/a> and other reporters that Brandon Woodruff<\/a><\/strong> will be back in Milwaukee\u2019s rotation sometime during the team\u2019s series with the Reds that begins on Monday.\u00a0 Woodruff posted a 3.60 ERA over six starts and 30 innings for the Brew Crew before he was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 1 due to shoulder inflammation.\u00a0 While the injury wasn\u2019t too serious, the Brewers took a cautious approach to Woodruff\u2019s throwing progression, probably in a nod to the veteran\u2019s recent health history.<\/p>\n

With Quinn Priester<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s season now officially over<\/a> and Logan Henderson<\/a><\/strong> and Coleman Crow<\/a><\/strong> still on the 15-day IL, Woodruff\u2019s return will help a Brewers rotation whose depth has been tested by injuries.\u00a0 Robert Gasser<\/a><\/strong> is probably the likeliest candidate to be dropped from the rotation upon Woodruff\u2019s return, which lines up Milwaukee\u2019s rotation as ace Jacob Misiorowski<\/a><\/strong>, Kyle Harrison<\/a><\/strong>, Brandon Sproat<\/a><\/strong>, Shane Drohan<\/a><\/strong>, and Woodruff.<\/p>\n
