{"id":881928,"date":"2026-06-21T04:03:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-21T04:03:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/881928\/"},"modified":"2026-06-21T04:03:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-21T04:03:14","slug":"spokanes-nami-walk-raises-funds-for-mental-health-programs-in-community-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/881928\/","title":{"rendered":"Spokane&#8217;s NAMI walk raises funds for mental health programs in community | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SPOKANE, Wash. &#8212; Spokane&#8217;s chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness held a walk Saturday morning at Riverfront Park to raise money and awareness for the organization.<\/p>\n<p>The annual walk helps fund a variety of programs and mental health resources that NAMI offers for free to the community.<\/p>\n<p>Participants carried signs showing messages of positivity and love to ensure that anyone who saw the procession knows they are not alone.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You never know who you may be impacting outside of this circle, who doesn&#8217;t know about NAMI, who doesn&#8217;t know that we can talk about mental health,&#8221; said NAMI Spokane&#8217;s executive director Chauntelle Lieske. &#8220;I think when we show up in spaces like this and we are very vocal about mental health, it&#8217;s very important.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>NAMI has been helping break down the stigma of talking about mental health across the country since 1979.<\/p>\n<p>COPYRIGHT 2026 BY KXLY.
