Mitchell Robinson didn\u2019t forget those closest to him when celebrating the Knicks\u2019 NBA title.<\/p>\n
Robinson shared a special, quiet night with his neighbors ahead of the team\u2019s championship parade Thursday down the Canyon of Heroes in lower Manhattan.<\/p>\n
The moment was shared through a LinkedIn post by Lindsay Anthony \u2014 one of the Knicks center\u2019s neighbors in a quiet New York suburb \u2014 and she praised Robinson for his decision where he had \u201cnothing to gain from,\u201d but did it anyway without cameras.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe parked one of his infamous monster trucks that he\u2019ll be on tomorrow in that driveway and let a neighborhood kids (and let\u2019s be honest some parents) take a peek, sign some autographs (and a middle school yearbook!) and catch up about his infamous Knicks season,\u201d Anthony wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo production. No entourage. Just him, showing up because he\u2019s our neighbor and he said he would,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Anthony shared photos of various kids checking out the inside and outside details of Robinson\u2019s orange and silver monster truck.<\/p>\n
Robinson was also seen taking pictures with parents and got a big group picture with all of the kids in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n
Robinson\u2019s neighbor explained his appearance is the neighbor she knows, rather than what Knicks fans\u2019 see on the surface on television, at games and during press conferences.<\/p>\n

\u201cFans see the dunks and the foul shots and the game winning steals. Reporters get him in pressers and highlight reels, Anthony wrote. \u201cWe get him on a random night, with nothing to gain from it, doing it anyway. (Complete with a side of country music).\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a lesson in there for anyone whose job is reputation, mine included: the real story of someone\u2019s character isn\u2019t always on the court or at a press conference,\u201d she added. \u201cIt\u2019s what someone does when there is no camera and no upside. He\u2019s quiet about almost all of it, on the court and in the driveway.\u201d<\/p>\n
