Ilhan Omar and her hubby have gone from the penthouse to the poorhouse.<\/p>\n<p>The husband of the Minnesota \u201cSquad\u201d firebrand \u2014 who once valued his venture capital and wine empire at up to $30 million \u2014 now claims to be pocketing as little as $200 a year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The embattled socialist claimed hubby Tim Mynett made no income last year from his main business, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/07\/us-news\/ilhan-omar-says-her-hubbys-firm-was-worth-up-to-25-million-but-partner-told-court-it-had-almost-no-capital\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rose Lake Capital<\/a>, according to her newly released 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/disclosures-clerk.house.gov\/public_disc\/financial-pdfs\/2025\/10077400.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">financial disclosure report.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ilhan Omar said hubby Tim Mynett made less than $1,000 last year. Bloomberg via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The only money Mynett \u2014 who has nearly two decades of experience in DC \u2014 earned last year is a meager $200 to $1,000 from his defunct California-based wine business eStCru, which sold bottles such as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/07\/us-news\/ilhan-omars-hubbys-elusive-winery-violation-of-islamic-law\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Devil\u2019s Lie<\/a>\u201d before <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/24\/us-news\/ilhan-omar-husbands-california-winery-closes-its-doors-amid-scrutiny-of-congresswomans-family-finances\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">going belly up in April<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Omar claimed the total value of the couple\u2019s assets was between $20,000 and $125,000 for 2025, and their credit card and student-loan debt hovered between $30,000 and $100,000 \u2014 putting their net worth at negative-$80,000-$95,000, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The head-scratching financial disclosure comes after the couple in 2024 reported sudden ballooning wealth \u2014 from close to nothing to <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/27\/us-news\/ilhan-omars-hubbys-30m-firm-quietly-scrubs-names-from-website-as-squad-member-faces-mounting-questions-on-sudden-wealth-amid-minnesota-welfare-fraud\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">between $5 million and $30 million<\/a> \u2014 sparking intense public scrutiny.<\/p>\n<p>That <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/17\/us-news\/house-probe-to-unravel-mystery-of-squad-rep-ilhan-omars-skyrocketing-wealth\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">spurred a Congressional investigation<\/a> into Omar\u2019s finances, just as a massive social services fraud scheme\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/21\/us-news\/minn-s-social-services-scammers-may-have-stolen-9-billion\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">involving the Somali community in her district<\/a>\u00a0was blowing up.<\/p>\n<p>In response, Somalia-born Omar filed an amended 2024 financial disclosure in March, listing the value of Mynett\u2019s ownership stakes in both businesses at zero. She chalked up the \u201cdiscrepancy\u201d on an <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/18\/us-news\/rep-ilhan-omar-blames-discrepancy-on-financial-disclosures-listing-30m-net-worth\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">accounting error<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>EStCru sold wines like \u201cThe Devil\u2019s Lie,\u201d a Malbec, before filing for dissolution in April. eStCru Wines\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>This was Mynett\u2019s page on the Rose Lake Capital website, before it went dark amid the scrutiny. RoseLake Capital<\/p>\n<p>Despite the businesses reportedly being worth nothing, Rose Lake Capital still generated income between $100,000 and $1 million and the wine business between $2,500 and $5,000 that year, according to the amended disclosure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVoters see right through the corrupt lies of Ilhan Omar,\u201d Republican National Committee spokeswoman Delanie Bomar told The Post. \u201cOmar has spent her entire career covering up Democrat-enabled fraud that cost taxpayers billions, so it\u2019s no surprise that she would do the same for her husband.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mynett, 44, launched Rose Lake Capital in 2022 with his longtime business partner, Will Hailer, another Democratic operative.<\/p>\n<p>Omar and Mynett got together when he worked for her 2018 campaign through his previous business, eStreet Group.<\/p>\n<p>The pair met working for Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison in 2012 when he was running for re-election to Congress. <\/p>\n<p>Ellison, who was caught on tape being <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/05\/23\/us-news\/one-of-original-minny-fraud-whistleblowers-says-rep-ilhan-omar-needs-to-testify\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">bribed by Somali fraudsters<\/a> \u2014 a claim he rejected, saying he took the meeting in good faith \u2014 gave up that House seat in 2018 to make way for Omar, a move Hailer has taken credit for orchestrating.<\/p>\n<p>Omar\u2019s office did not return The Post\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Scandal-scarred Rep.
