{"id":883026,"date":"2026-06-21T16:18:44","date_gmt":"2026-06-21T16:18:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/883026\/"},"modified":"2026-06-21T16:18:44","modified_gmt":"2026-06-21T16:18:44","slug":"toronto-attack-man-charged-after-unprovoked-robbery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/883026\/","title":{"rendered":"Toronto attack: Man charged after unprovoked robbery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A Toronto man has been charged after an alleged unprovoked robbery left a victim with serious injuries earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/66231\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/66231\/\">news release<\/a>, Toronto police say officers responded to a robbery call in the Dundas Street East and Broadview Avenue area at around 5 p.m. on June 12.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators say the victim was unloading a vehicle when a man \u201capproached the victim and, unprovoked, assaulted the victim and stole the victim\u2019s property,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The victim was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">On Saturday, police arrested Jefferson Henry, 44, of Toronto.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault and two counts of breach of probation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Henry was scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 21.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The investigation remains ongoing.
