Six people, including two children, died in a head-on collision Saturday in Hill County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Both cars became engulfed in flames.<\/p>\n
The crash took place just after 4:30 p.m. on State Highway 171 near FM 3155 between Bynum and Malone, DPS said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The accident occurred when a Nissan traveling north tried to pass another vehicle, then collided with an oncoming Ford van.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Two children and two adults in the van died. Another child in the van was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, DPS said. Two occupants in the Nissan also died.<\/p>\n
