{"id":885105,"date":"2026-06-22T15:16:15","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T15:16:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/885105\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T15:16:15","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T15:16:15","slug":"semperis-names-mcnary-as-deputy-federal-cto-to-drive-identity-security-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/885105\/","title":{"rendered":"Semperis names McNary as deputy federal CTO to drive identity security strategy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hoboken-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.semperis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Semperis<\/a> Government Solutions, the identity-driven cyber resilience and crisis response company, announced the appointment of Jimmy McNary as deputy federal CTO for Semperis Federal.<\/p>\n<p>In this role, McNary will lead technical strategy and engagement for government customers, partners and the broader public sector market, driving adoption of identity security across defense and civilian agencies.<\/p>\n<p>He is a U.S. Navy veteran with more than 25 years of cybersecurity and federal IT experience at Semperis. He has a proven record of helping high-growth cybersecurity companies scale their federal presence.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, he served as vice president of federal solutions at Semperis, where he drove adoption of the company\u2019s identity security platform across the Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFederal agencies are facing a growing wave of identity-based threats from nation-state adversaries while still relying on aging Active Directory infrastructure that was never built to withstand them,\u201d said McNary. \u201cIf attackers control identity, every other security control is compromised.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrue cyber resilience requires both identity-first security and strong crisis preparedness \u2014 hardening identity infrastructure before an attack and ensuring agencies can respond and recover effectively when one occurs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Throughout his career, McNary has supported multiple intelligence agency cybersecurity missions, frequently spoken at federal cybersecurity conferences, served as an ICIT fellow, and completed cybersecurity studies at Harvard University Extension School.<\/p>\n<p>Before joining Semperis, McNary led intelligence agency deployments and federal adoption efforts at early startups such as ArcSight, Endgame, and Securonix.<\/p>\n<p>He also spent a decade as a principal cybersecurity engineer and lead security architect at Raytheon, SAIC, and Northrop Grumman, supporting critical national programs and mission-critical systems.<\/p>\n<p>McNary\u2019s appointment comes at a critical time for federal identity security.
