Michaels is an advocate for a complete overhaul of American consumption of food and pharmaceuticals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would love to see all the things that Kennedy campaigned on,\u201d Michaels said. \u201cThe MAHA movement, they\u2019re up against four of the biggest lobbies in the country. So, Big Ag,\u00a0Big Food, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/05\/12\/business\/cigna-and-cvs-shares-fall-as-trump-targets-middlemen-in-sweeping-executive-order-against-big-pharma\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Big Pharma,<\/a> Big Insurance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Michaels also expressed her support for alternative methods of treatment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would love to see psychedelics into the FDA so that it can be used therapeutically for veterans, for people with addiction under medical use,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Jillian Michaels coaches participants on \u201cThe Biggest Loser.\u201d \u00a9 NBC Universal, Inc.<\/p>\n<p>Michaels has expressed her support for alternative methods of treatment.\u00a0 Brian Zak\/Page Six<\/p>\n<p>She also believes ingredient bans should go beyond food dyes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, I would like to see a hell of a lot more banned from our\u00a0food\u00a0supply than just red number 40,\u201d she said, referring to the widely used synthetic food dye.<\/p>\n<p>As changes occur, Michaels acknowledged that all changes won\u2019t happen instantly.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re certainly not going to get it all overnight, but [what] we need to appreciate is the small wins along the way,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Jillian Michaels speaks at a briefing in the James Brady Press Briefing Room at the White House on May 22, 2025. AP<\/p>\n<p>Group photo of \u201cThe Biggest Loser\u201d season 8 contestants.<\/p>\n<p>However, Michaels encouraged people to take accountability for their own health, \u201cand ultimately, at the end of the day, which we\u2019re not going to get from the government, you can create in your own life by taking agency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In January, the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/01\/15\/health\/us-bans-red-dye-no-3-from-foods-amid-evidence-it-causes-cancer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FDA banned red dye<\/a> \u2014 called Red 3, or erythrosine \u2014 from foods, dietary supplements and ingested medicines after being linked to cancer, as Fox News Digital\u00a0previously reported.
