FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. \u2014 Rapper GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, is facing charges after a burglary occurred at her metro Atlanta home.<\/p>\n
The Forsyth County Sheriff\u2019s Office confirmed to Channel 2 Action News<\/b> that deputies were called to a home owned by Woods at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
Investigators say three suspects went into the home when Woods wasn\u2019t there and were stealing things when someone inside the home fired at them. The burglars ran off and investigators don\u2019t believe they were injured.<\/p>\n
[DOWNLOAD: <\/b>Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks<\/b><\/a>]<\/b><\/p>\n While investigating the burglary, some of the deputies smelled drugs and found a \u201csignificant amount of marijuana\u201d in the master bedroom closet.<\/p>\n Woods was then charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. <\/p>\n She turned herself in to the Forsyth County Jail on Tuesday and was released shortly after on a $22,260 bond.<\/p>\n RELATED STORIES:<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThe homeowner is a victim of a serious crime, and we are committed to bringing the suspects to justice,\u201d said Sheriff Ron Freeman. \u201cAt the same time, we must continue to uphold and enforce the law in all aspects of this case.\u201d<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t the rapper\u2019s first run-in with the law in Georgia.<\/p>\n Last year, Channel 2 Action News<\/b> obtained body camera footage of Woods being arrested for DUI in Gwinnett County<\/a>.<\/p>\n
