Going with the theme \u201crainbows,\u201d local photographers set out to capture a colorful array of their best work for this month\u2019s Carson City Photo Club competition, which included a tie for third place.<\/p>\n

The winning photos are:<\/p>\n

First Place:<\/strong> \u201cHorses and Rainbows\u201d MaryLou Schindler (see photo below)<\/p>\n

Second Place:<\/strong> \u201cJourney to the Pot of Gold\u201d Cathy Fisher<\/p>\n

Third Place:<\/strong> \u201cTwo are Better than One\u201d Anke Simpson<\/p>\n

Third Place: \u201cRainbow Kitty\u201d Monique Giron<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Winner\u2019s Choice:<\/strong> \u201cMini Golf Rainbow\u201d Jessie Brendel<\/p>\n

The Carson City Photo Club meets at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month, except December, at the Carson City Sheriff\u2019s Office Ormsby Room, 911 East Musser Street (use west entrance.)<\/p>\n

All levels of photographers are welcome. The theme for July is \u201cStreet Photos.\u201d<\/p>\n

Become a member for $15 per year and submit your 8\u00d710 matted photo taken within the last year to enter in the competition.\u00a0Go here<\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n
