Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>He became one of the youngest players ever to win the Bundesliga\u2019s Best Young Player award.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKayil projects as a versatile combo guard, with the size, IQ and feel to fit into any offense,\u201d his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/draft\/2026\/prospects\/jack-kayil\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NBA draft profile reads<\/a>. \u201cHe can draw NBA comparisons to players like Andrew Nembhard, Jalen Suggs and Jrue Holiday. Kayil has already proven he can produce against grown professionals in two of Europe\u2019s toughest competitions, and the arrow only points up as he develops. Kayil is the kind of late first-round bet that could pay off big if he\u2019s comfortable in the NBA and continues growing as a player.<\/p>\n<p>He seemingly intends to make good on the Knicks\u2019 gamble, and sooner rather than the later: he made it clear he doesn\u2019t want to be an overseas stash play for the cash-strapped Knicks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy plans are to stay here and get into the organization and keep going with them,\u201d he told reporters at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019ll be joined in his NBA endeavor by Tyler Nickel, a 6-foot-7 big-time shooter out of Vanderbilt who was drafted with the No. 47 pick.
