LINCOLN, Neb (WOWT) – Former Nebraska point guard Sam Hoiberg is reportedly getting an NBA opportunity.<\/p>\n

According to The Stein Line NBA insider Jake Fischer, Hoiberg \u201cintends to sign\u201d an undrafted free agent deal with the Phoenix Suns.<\/p>\n

Nebraska\u2019s Big-Ten All-Defensive guard Sam Hoiberg intends to sign with the Phoenix Suns, per source.<\/p>\n

Hoiberg led Nebraska to its most successful season in program history, culminating in the school\u2019s first two wins at the NCAA Tournament in March.<\/p>\n

Nebraska finished 28-7 and reached the program\u2019s first NCAA Sweet 16, where it lost to Iowa. Hoiberg started all 35 games as a senior, averaging 9.3 points, 4.5 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game on his way to All-Big Ten defensive honors.<\/p>\n

He also set a school record in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.74-to-1).<\/p>\n
