{"id":893144,"date":"2026-06-26T02:26:29","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T02:26:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/893144\/"},"modified":"2026-06-26T02:26:29","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T02:26:29","slug":"fugitive-taken-into-custody-after-crash-on-phoenix-freeway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/893144\/","title":{"rendered":"Fugitive taken into custody after crash on Phoenix freeway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A fugitive is in custody after a crash on Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway near 24th Street in Phoenix on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It happened just after 3 p.m. on the westbound side near 24th Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The FBI\u2019s Phoenix Safe Trails Task Force arrested a man in the area after trying to pull him over, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The man was wanted on warrants out of Maricopa County and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. His name has not been released.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Officials said he did not stop when agents tried to stop his car. Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers and Mesa police helped bring the situation to an end.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Aerial video showed skid marks from a red four-door car on the off-ramp. The car came to a stop facing the wrong way between the right westbound lane and the off-ramp.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"It happened on the Loop 202 near 24th Street.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/GDTFRHEGH5D3NDK6PBKPNFXQNA.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>It happened on the Loop 202 near 24th Street.(Arizona&#8217;s Family)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The man was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on a failure-to-yield charge.
