In a TikTok video <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@sophiecham\/video\/7528173573878385951?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posted<\/a> on Friday, Cunningham tagged \u201c@ some refs\u201d as she lip-synced the lyrics to \u201cManchild,\u201d mouthing, \u201cStupid, or is it slow? Maybe it\u2019s useless.\u201d Come Wednesday, she <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sophaller\/status\/1948103662154232223\">wrote<\/a> on X that she had been fined over the video.<\/p>\n<p class=\"clay-paragraph\" data-editable=\"text\" data-uri=\"www.thecut.com\/_components\/clay-paragraph\/instances\/cmdht8bt700123b78w97b7m1p@published\" data-word-count=\"41\">\u201cI got fined $500 for this TikTok \ud83e\udd23\ud83e\udd23 ,\u201d Cunningham wrote. \u201cidk why this is funny to me \u2026 like ok \ud83d\udc4d\ud83c\udffc you got it bud! Cause there\u2019s not more important things to be worried about with our league right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"clay-paragraph\" data-editable=\"text\" data-uri=\"www.thecut.com\/_components\/clay-paragraph\/instances\/cmdht8buq00133b786uftj9b9@published\" data-word-count=\"140\">Cunningham is far from the first WNBA player to take issue with the league\u2019s referees. Earlier this month, Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/wnba\/story\/_\/id\/45689030\/sky-angel-reese-says-wnba-officiating-fixed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> ESPN that the officiating system \u201chas to be fixed\u201d after her team had been hit with what she felt was an unfair number of foul calls. \u201cI\u2019m tired of this shit,\u201d she said. Los Angeles Sparks guard Kelsey Plum has also called the league\u2019s officiating \u201cfucking absurd,\u201d and fellow Fever player <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecut.com\/article\/shane-gillis-caitlin-clark-wnba-joke-espys.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caitlin Clark<\/a> has gotten into her own share of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/wnba\/story\/_\/id\/45740425\/wnba-all-star-break-officiating-criticism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scuffles<\/a> with referees over bad calls. Fever coach Stephanie White even spoke about the issue with the Indianapolis Star last month. \u201cEverybody\u2019s getting better except the officials,\u201d she said. \u201cSo we got to find a way to remedy it.
