PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A man was found not moving near a south Phoenix canal Thursday night and later died, and police now say the case appears suspicious.<\/p>\n

Just after 8:30 p.m., officers were called out to the Highline Canal near 24th Street and Fawn Drive<\/a>, south of Baseline Road.<\/p>\n

\"AnAn investigation is underway after a man was found dead in south Phoenix Thursday night.(azfamily)<\/p>\n

When they arrived, they found the body of the victim. His name has not been released.<\/p>\n

Detectives are investigating, and police said the man may have died under suspicious circumstances.<\/p>\n

The cause of the death has not been released, nor has the identification of the man. <\/p>\n
