It looks like Adam Driver is joining<\/a> his Hollywood peers in inching closer to the Brooklyn Heights waterfront. The Girls actor and local ice-cream-cart fixture<\/a> has upgraded from his three-bedroom condo on Henry Street to a three-unit spread at the Standish, according<\/a> to the Real Deal. Per the outlet, Driver bought the sixth-floor spread, totaling 3,500 square feet combined, through an LLC for $11.5 million.<\/p>\n Perhaps Driver and his wife, Joanne Tucker, needed even more room for their two growing children. Or, maybe the Oscar-nominated actor, who\u2019s known for guarding his privacy like the Marine he once was, is looking for an even lower profile after the details<\/a> included in Lena Dunham\u2019s memoir, Famesick, went public. Whatever the reason for the purchase, the Standish, overlooking the Promenade, is in a much better location than the Henry Street building, which sits at the intersection of the Brooklyn Bridge overpass and the BQE. It also has quite the amenities package, including concierge services, a 24\/7 doorman, a children\u2019s playroom, and a landscaped roof deck, dwarfing the offerings at 20 Henry. <\/strong>And it\u2019s right down the street from the Pierrepont playground, if that\u2019s more his thing. The former Beaux-Arts-style hotel was converted into condos in 2014, and since then, it\u2019s drawn in other Hollywood stars: Matt Damon bought a 6,000-square-foot penthouse in 2018 for $16.7 million, and the next year John Krasinski and Emily Blunt paid $11 million for two units that made up an entire floor.<\/p>\n \n The Standish, as seen in this listing photo, has drawn in Driver\u2019s Hollywood peers in the past, including Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. It\u2019s unclear what Driver\u2019s new apartments look like, since he purchased the properties in an off-market deal. We do know that the sellers, who work in real estate, also appear to have owned all three units<\/a>, first purchasing 6A, a three-bedroom, followed by the two one-bedrooms on the floor, for a total of $6.2 million. An old listing photo for 6B conveys<\/a> a very 2010s aesthetic in the living area with white oak plank floors and blond floating shelves. (City documents filed this month note<\/a> that two of the units don\u2019t have kitchens, so there may be a demo project in the near-future to combine them all into one.) As for Driver\u2019s Henry Street apartment, a source told the Real Deal that it\u2019s on the market<\/a> for nearly $5 million.
