\n\tDespite being one of only a few artists not to pull out of Freedom 250<\/a>, the White House canceled Vanilla Ice<\/a>\u2018s set at the last minute. <\/p>\n

\n\tOn Friday, the Trump-backed semiquincentennial event pulled the plug on the Grammy nominee\u2019s performance, citing \u201cinclement weather\u201d in the Washington D.C. area for the abrupt cancellation.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDue to inclement weather in the area, the Freedom 250 Great American State Fair and FIFA World Cup 2026\u2122 Fan Zone will be closed for the rest of the day \u2014 Friday, June 26, 2026,\u201d an event staffer posted to X<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe safety of our guests, staff, and partners remains our top priority. We are actively monitoring conditions and will provide updates as they become available,\u201d they added. \u201cThe Great American State Fair will reopen tomorrow at 10 AM.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe announcement came shortly after the \u201cIce Ice Baby\u201d artist posted a video from sound check at the National Mall, where the Great American State Fair is set to run through July 10.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast month, Vanilla Ice defended his decision to perform<\/a> at the Freedom 250 event after musicians like Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Morris Day, Young MC and The Commodores dropped out over Trump\u2019s affiliation<\/a> with the celebration.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m tired of all the news channels dividing this country. We are all one. This is not a political platform. This is celebrating America\u2019s birthday.
