JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 Two of the three victims killed in a triple stabbing on Jacksonville\u2019s Westside were laid to rest Saturday as family members said they are still grappling with grief nearly a month after the killings.<\/p>\n

A funeral service for Savannah Barber and Edwin Barber was held at Franklin Street Baptist Church, where loved ones gathered wearing shirts bearing photos of the three victims \u2014 Savannah and Edwin Barber and Shad Cole \u2014 with the message: \u201cForever in our hearts. Three lives taken too soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Savannah Barber\u2019s mother, Amy Barber, said the service brought fresh pain as the family mourns.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been hard\u2026 it feels like it\u2019s been going in circles,\u201d she said. \u201cNow today\u2019s like I\u2019m doing it all over again. I\u2019m just ready for it to be over.\u201d<\/p>\n

The triple stabbing happened May 28 in the Normandy Estates area of West Jacksonville. Savannah Barber, 27, Edwin Barber and Cole, 37, were all killed. Edwin was Savannah\u2019s stepfather and Cole was her fianc\u00e9, family said.<\/p>\n

Austin Fisher, 30, pleaded guilty earlier this week and was sentenced to four life terms. <\/p>\n

Amy Barber said the guilty plea spared her family from a trial but did not ease the loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just glad I really didn\u2019t want to sit through the trial and go through everything,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m just glad that he\u2019s going to be put away.\u201d<\/p>\n

But, she added, \u201cAin\u2019t nothing\u2019s going to bring none of them back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amy Barber said support from friends, family, and the broader community has helped her endure the past month.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just glad everybody came together \u2014 that\u2019s what they would have wanted,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s been a big help \u2026 everybody that stepped up and helped and volunteered.\u201d<\/p>\n

As mourners left the church, Amy Barber thanked those who attended and asked for continued prayers as the family tries to move forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to say thanks to everybody, and I love everybody,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I\u2019m glad they could come out and be with us.\u201d<\/p>\n
