As the Golden State Warriors<\/a> look for cost-effective depth this offseason, another free agent target of theirs has been revealed. According to<\/a> Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Golden State has interest in Dallas Mavericks<\/a> guard Brandon Williams<\/a>, who is set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer.<\/p>\n

Last year, Williams had a breakout campaign with Dallas, averaging a career-high 13 points per game to go along with 3.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 0.9 steals. Although Williams’ 3-point percentage (23.2%) left plenty to be desired, he showcased exceptional speed and one-on-one scoring skills both in transition and within the 3-point line. This was proven by his field goal percentage of 47.2% and his 55.2% success rate on 2-point attempts. For these reasons, the 26-year-old could make for an intriguing option at point guard if the Warriors are unable to land recent Chicago Bulls<\/a> guards Anfernee Simons<\/a> and Collin Sexton<\/a>, both of which they’ve been linked<\/a> to as well.<\/p>\n
