\n\tAfter Universal Pictures dropped the ball on her biopic, don\u2019t expect Madonna<\/a> to turn to artificial intelligence<\/a> to get the job done.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 7x Grammy winner recently explained why AI<\/a>-generated content is \u201cthe opposite of making art,\u201d noting that she prefers \u201cconnecting to nature, my children, my horses\u201d for inspiration in making music.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOnce you were around painters and musicians and dancers and artists in one place and working from a very pure place for each other. I value that experience a lot,\u201d she told Vogue Italia<\/a>. \u201cNowadays you don\u2019t do that anymore. Now to have a record deal you think about how many followers you have. That\u2019s why in \u2018Bring Your Love\u2019 I say \u2018Don\u2019t try to distract me with numbers.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMadonna continued, \u201cFor me it started not thinking about the charts, the streaming numbers. Algorithms and artificial intelligence are the opposite of taking risks and to me that is the opposite of making art.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tReferring to the lyrics of her song \u201cI Feel So Free\u201d, which include \u201cthat\u2019s why I like to go dancing \/ safety in numbers,\u201d Madonna explained, \u201cIt\u2019s completely the opposite. In this case numbers give you safety. You\u2019re with a lot of people and you don\u2019t feel judged, you can hide.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tInstead of maximizing output with the help of generative AI, the Confessions II<\/a> artist prefers to stop and find inspiration in her own life.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLately it\u2019s been hard because of my record and so many things connected to it. But I do like to take breaks\u2026 and disappear. Because that\u2019s how you fuel your imagination. You have to have stillness and you have to have days where you\u2019re just connecting to nature, my children, my horses,\u201d added Madonna.<\/p>\n

\n\tMadonna is seemingly in for another break soon after her 15th studio album Confessions on a Dancefloor: Part II releases on July 3.
