Law enforcement agencies throughout Southern California are reminding residents how to have safely celebrate America\u2019s 250th birthday<\/p>\n
The Los Angeles Fire Department and other agencies across Southern California are advising residents on how to have a safe holiday weekend.<\/p>\n
\u201cFireworks can turn a celebration into a tragedy in seconds,\u201d The LAFD shared in a news release on Tuesday<\/a>. \u201cEvery year, fireworks cause serious injuries, fires, and unnecessary risks to families, neighborhoods, pets, and first responders.\u201d<\/p>\n All fireworks, including \u201csafe and sane\u201d fireworks, are illegal for personal possession or use in the City of Los Angeles and many other cities across Southern California. Additionally, all fireworks are prohibited in unincorporated Los Angeles County.<\/p>\n The LAFD is encouraging everyone to attend a permitted fireworks show or drone display and leave fireworks to the professionals.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p><\/blockquote>\n The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff\u2019s Station also advised residents when to, and when not to, call 911 during 4th of July celebrations.
