Todd Golden and Florida<\/a> will have Boogie Fland in the fold as they look for a second straight national championship. But the former 5-star recruit will need to first heal up from an offseason injury that shouldn\u2019t affect him for too long.<\/p>\n Golden, on Thursday, revealed that the Arkansas transfer had to go into surgery on July 3 after suffering a sports hernia, according to the AP\u2019s Mark Long. Per Long, Fland should be ready to go by the time the Gators\u2019 fall camp begins.<\/p>\n The 2024-25 season ended with the Gators defeating Houston, 65-63, to win the program\u2019s fifth national championship and first since 2014. They ultimately lost their top three scorers \u2014 Walter Clayton Jr., Alijah Martin, and Will Richard \u2014 to graduation.<\/p>\n Golden worked the portal to add 2-time first-team Ivy League performer Xaivian Lee (Princeton) and former freshman All-MAC player AJ Brown (Ohio) to the team. But his biggest get by far was Fland, who averaged 13.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game for Arkansas<\/a> as a freshman.
