{"id":900559,"date":"2026-06-29T10:24:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T10:24:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/900559\/"},"modified":"2026-06-29T10:24:23","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T10:24:23","slug":"bryson-dechambeau-reveals-issue-he-must-figure-out-after-us-open-disaster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/900559\/","title":{"rendered":"Bryson DeChambeau reveals issue he must figure out after US Open disaster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bryson DeChambeau says he has not been playing \u201cgood enough golf\u201d as the reason for why he\u2019s missed three straight cuts in majors this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The latest disappointment came earlier this month on Long Island when he <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/19\/sports\/jon-rahm-bryson-dechambeau-miss-us-open-cut\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">missed the cut at the U.S. Open<\/a>, finishing the first two days of the tournament 5-over.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After more than a week of silence, DeChambeau<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cwMpu46lHPU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> took to his YouTube channel<\/a> to make his first extensive comments about the U.S. Open disaster and his struggles at majors this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot good enough golf,\u201d DeChambeau said in the video about how he\u2019s missed three straight cuts at majors. \u201cWe could say it\u2019s unlucky, we could say bad judgment, we could say bad swings and all that, but ultimately it comes down to me making better decisions. EPA\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd knowing why I had that miss, knowing why I\u2019m missing it, and then working on speed with my putting, working on my wedges, getting a better combo so it\u2019s not as erratic, even though I wasn\u2019t hitting it my best off the tee, I was still No.1 in driving off the tee, which is crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, DeChambeau said it was his iron play that needed to improve going forward.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>DeChambeau has won a pair of LIV Golf events this season and finished in the top three of three others, but his performances in some of the sport\u2019s biggest events have raised questions.<\/p>\n<p>He remains one of the most recognizable names in golf and denied that the situation with LIV \u2014 funding from the Saudi Public Investment Fund <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/29\/sports\/liv-golfs-saudi-funding-is-officially-being-pulled\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">will come to an end after this season<\/a>, throwing the league\u2019s future in doubt \u2014 or his golf content on social media has impacted his game.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udcc9 <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hashtag\/NEW?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">#NEW<\/a> \u2014 Bryson DeChambeau on his golf game and the rough year he\u2019s had:  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just last year, this time, before the US Open, I was one of the best major championship performers in the world. Just last year, this time, before the US Open, I was one of the best major championship performers in the world. Come one year later, everybody says I\u2019m the worst. It just is what it is. Life, it\u2019s golf. Things don\u2019t always go your way. But guess what, keep going. Humbling.
