(WCAX) &#8211; The Gilgo Beach serial killer is now being held at the Clinton County Correctional Facility in Dannemora while he is processed, the Department of Corrections confirmed Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcax.com\/2026\/06\/17\/rex-heuermann-is-sentenced-life-prison-new-yorks-gilgo-beach-serial-killings\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wcax.com\/2026\/06\/17\/rex-heuermann-is-sentenced-life-prison-new-yorks-gilgo-beach-serial-killings\/\">Rex Heuermann, 62, was sentenced earlier this month for strangling and dismembering eight women over 15 years in Long Island, New York.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He was arrested in 2023 and pleaded guilty to the killings, which date back to 1993.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WCAX.
