The person was hospitalized for unknown reasons. <\/p>\n<p>Police then observed a man throwing concrete from the roof of a nearby building at their vehicles and arrested him, according to the LAPD. He was not identified by authorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpon arrival, officers identified the suspect with the assistance of an airship overhead,\u201d LAPD Sgt. Jesus Salazar told <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/ktla.com\/news\/local-news\/transient-on-roof-of-l-a-building-in-custody-after-throwing-concrete-chunks-at-police\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">KTLA<\/a>. \u201cThey contained the area, made the approach, and took the suspect into custody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Salazar said the man also threw a fire extinguisher from the 10th floor of a high-rise building.
