Frontman and bassist Geddy Lee has been diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis, forcing the Canadian rocker to take \u201cadditional time to rest and recover\u201d before performing again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is incredibly disappointing for all of us. We know many of you have made travel plans and have been counting down the days to these shows. Please know this decision was not made lightly. After more than 50 years of touring, we\u2019ve always believed that if we\u2019re going to step on stage, we owe you the very best performance we can give\u2014and right now, that simply isn\u2019t possible,\u201d the band shares in a social media announcement. \u201cThank you for your patience, your understanding, and for always standing with us. We look forward to seeing you in just a couple of weeks and appreciate your continued support while Geddy makes a full recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tonight\u2019s show has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 11th, while the July 2nd show has been rescheduled for Monday, July 13th.<\/p>\n<p>All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refund information is available at the original point of purchase for those unable to attend the rescheduled dates.<\/p>\n<p>The band was forced to <a href=\"https:\/\/themusicuniverse.com\/rush-postpones-dallas-show-due-to-border-related-delays\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">postpone the first Dallas-Fort Worth show<\/a> last week due to \u201ctravel and border-related delays\u201d following stops in Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p>The Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame inductees kicked off the highly anticipated <a href=\"https:\/\/themusicuniverse.com\/rush-extends-fifty-something-tour-internationally-in-2027\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fifty Something Tour<\/a> earlier this month with <a href=\"https:\/\/themusicuniverse.com\/rushs-rapturous-return-features-two-sets-and-a-tribute-to-neil-peart\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">four sold-out shows at Los Angeles<\/a>\u2018 Kia Forum, marking the band\u2019s first tour performance in 11 years. The show launched a landmark run celebrating more than five decades of Rush music and legacy, bringing the band full circle, as Kia Forum was also the site of Rush\u2019s final R40 Tour performance on August 1, 2015, with longtime band member Neil Peart, who passed away in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are joined by acclaimed drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold.
